Full Service Movers in San Diego

Full-service is the option most people reach for when a move has to happen on someone else's timeline, and San Diego has plenty of those. A PCS timeline out of Naval Base San Diego, Miramar, or MCRD leaves a fixed date and not much say in it, and hiring the whole job out is often the only way to hit it without burning every day of leave packing boxes. It works the same way for a tight closing date or a job that starts before you'd like it to: we pack it, load it, drive it, and unpack it at the other end.

  • Anyone who wants packing, loading, driving, and unpacking all handled by one crew.
  • Households moving on a fixed date — PCS orders, a job start date, a closing date — with no room to do it in stages.
  • Anyone who'd rather pay for the whole job than manage separate packing, moving, and unpacking on their own.
  • People moving a full house who don't want to spend the weeks before the move packing it themselves.

What the Job Involves

We take

  • Full-house packing, room by room, with materials included
  • Furniture, boxed belongings, and major appliances once disconnected
  • Furniture broken down and reassembled at the new place
  • Unpacking at delivery, if you want boxes emptied instead of stacked and left

We can't take

  • Hazardous materials — propane tanks, paint, and household chemicals
  • Perishable food and any plants
  • Firearms and ammunition
  • Full exclusion list confirmed when we walk through your inventory

Full-service local moves are priced by crew size, truck size, and hours, the same structure as our standard local moves — the difference is the crew's scope covers packing and unpacking too, so we build the quote around the whole job, not just the drive.

Short-Notice and Same-Week Moves

Full-service is the most crew-intensive booking we run locally, since packing adds a day or more before loading even starts, so it needs more lead time than a move where you've already packed. Peak season, mid-May through August, is when that lead time matters most — book as soon as your date is set, especially if it falls in late June or early July.

Short notice
Possible outside peak season if a crew is free for both packing and moving days.
Peak season
Mid-May through August, book as early as your date allows — packing adds a day crews need to plan around.
Booked ahead
Two to three weeks out gives us room to schedule packing and moving as connected days.

How the Price Is Worked Out

Full-service pricing covers more ground than a standard local move — crew size, truck size, and hours still drive the number, but the quote accounts for packing time and materials on top of loading, driving, and unloading. We walk through your home before quoting so the number reflects the whole job, not just the parts you can see from the driveway.

Packing scope

How much of the house needs packing adds time before loading even starts.

Crew and truck size

Sized to your full inventory, same as any local move, but scheduled across more hours.

Access

Stairs, elevators, and long carries add labor time on both packing and moving days.

What You Don't Take With You

Packing a full house tends to surface everything you've been meaning to deal with, because our crew is boxing every room, not just the ones you'd get around to. That's usually the clearest moment to decide what's actually worth packing, driving, and unpacking again.

Donation-worthy

Furniture and goods in good shape can be set aside and picked up instead of packed.

Everything else

Our junk removal crew clears it out in the same visit, so nothing gets packed just to be thrown out later.

Apartments, Condos and HOAs

Single-family homes

The most common full-service job — a full day or more of packing before loading starts.

Condos and high-rise units

Packing and moving both need to fit inside a booked elevator or dock window.

Downsizing moves

Packing crews can sort alongside you as they go if you're moving into a smaller space.

Buildings that require a certificate of insurance or a booked elevator window need that arranged before packing day starts, not just moving day — tell us your building when you book.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in a full-service move?

Packing, loading, driving, and unloading, with unpacking available at delivery if you want it. One crew handles the whole job instead of you coordinating separate pieces.

What license should a full-service moving company in San Diego hold?

Since full-service includes transporting your things, the company needs an active Cal-T number from the California Public Utilities Commission, the same as any local mover. Ask to see it, and if any part of your move crosses state lines, ask for their USDOT and MC numbers too.

How is full-service pricing different from a standard local move?

It's still priced by crew size, truck size, and hours, but the quote also covers packing time and materials, so it accounts for more of the job than a move where you've already packed.

How far ahead do I need to book a full-service move?

More lead time than a standard move, since packing adds a day or more before loading starts. Book as early as you can, especially if your date falls between mid-May and August.

Does full-service include unpacking at the new place?

It can — tell us when you book if you want boxes emptied and put away instead of just stacked and left for you.

Can a full-service crew handle a downtown building's certificate of insurance?

Yes. If your building requires one for a booked dock or elevator window, we arrange it before packing day, not on moving day.
